At our March event, we were delighted to announce the winner of this year’s Spirit of ABW award. Having received the highest number of nominations from our members, Andrea McGill was thrilled to be presented the award by Liz Cooper (who kindly donated the trophy at the end of her ABW presidency).
The talented owner of Killie Cards, Andrea specialises in handmade personalised greetings cards, both wholesale and bespoke. She caters for all occasions, tailoring orders to customers’ requirements and she offers additional services such as wedding favour bags.
Andrea “goes above and beyond with her committee role as Membership Secretary” for ABW and truly embraces the spirit of welcoming, encouraging and supporting fellow members. She successfully obtained a place on our Growth Scholarship programme last year and has many ideas for taking her business forward.
A massive well done to Andrea…very well deserved! Here is a selection of comments from the nominations:
“She goes the extra mile every time to help all members” and this is “always done with a smile”.
“Andrea is one of the most supportive business women I have come across...a truly lovely person and worthy person of the Spirit of ABW award”.
“She’s incredibly supportive of the ABW and has partnered with many other businesses to achieve successful outcomes…Andrea is a genuine and lovely person who manages so much in her life and I just don’t think she appreciates how strong a woman she is…most definitely a woman who can”
