This award is given to a business that demonstrates a dynamic and entrepreneurial spirit. It recognises bold thinking, proactive leadership, and innovative approaches to growth and development. The winner will have shown resilience, adaptability, and the courage to seize opportunities that drive their business forward.

The 'Spirit of ABW' Award is being relaunched in 2026
This is a discretionary award, reserved for outstanding submissions. It is not awarded annually, but only when the committee identifies an entry of truly exceptional merit.
Open to both peer and self‑nomination, it recognises an individual who truly embodies the values and ethos of ABW, particularly through their commitment to women supporting women.
The recipient will have made a positive and meaningful impact by uplifting others, sharing opportunities, offering encouragement, and helping to create a supportive and inclusive community.
This award celebrates someone who consistently goes above and beyond to champion, connect, and empower women, representing the very heart and spirit of ABW.

The winner of the ABW 'Most Enterprising Business' Award is automatically registered as our Finalist for ASB's annual award in the same category.
