We were thrilled to experience the successful launch of our newest initiative—The Wednesday Connection—a monthly coffee morning designed to bring together women in business from across North, East, and South Ayrshire.
Our first gathering took place at The Mill House in Stewarton and was a resounding success, with every seat booked and a room full of energy, warmth, and meaningful conversation. ABW President Lisa Nairn introduced the concept to attendees, highlighting the importance of creating space for relaxed yet intentional connection.
One of our newer members, Diane Ferguson of Cupcake Bouquets by Diane, brought along one of her masterpieces - a stunning floral bouquet made entirely of the most exquisite cupcakes you've ever seen! She generously donated this for the event, and did a business card draw - where Maria Heyes pulled the lucky card on behalf of Moka's Groomies, her daughter's dog grooming business based in Kilmarnock.
Held on the last Wednesday of each month and rotating through Ayrshire’s three regions, these events are open to both ABW members and non-members*, offering a welcoming environment to share experiences, spark ideas, and build supportive relationships. There’s no formal agenda—just good coffee, great company, and the kind of peer support that fuels confidence and creativity.
The Wednesday Connection is more than a meet-up—it’s a rhythm of community, a chance to be seen and heard, and a gentle invitation to explore the value of being part of ABW’s dynamic network.
We’re already looking forward to the next one. Join us, and let’s keep the conversation flowing - available for booking now on our events page.
*Non-members are welcome to attend up to two events before deciding whether to join.
