Charity Donation to Combat Stress

During our February meeting, ABW had the pleasure of presenting a cheque to Combat Stress for £1,285. This was our nominated charity for last year's impressive fundraising efforts.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading veterans' mental health charity. The organisation provides timely, effective clinical treatment and welfare support to veterans who suffer from psychological wounds and they have a treatment centre out at Hollybush House, by Ayr.

Kath Provan received the cheque on behalf of Combat Stress and shared a heart-warming account of one veteran's story and the positive difference the charity has made to his personal and family life.
