March kicked off to a flying start with your new committee meeting for the first time. Roles were established and lots of plans underway to make Ayrshire Business Women’s’ 25th year a special one.
We started our event season at The Cook School in Kilmarnock, mixing it up a little with cooking demos, mini business pitches and lots of goodies. The team at this months venue went to great efforts to welcome members and give them royal treatment. I believe there were some lucky winners on the night too! The night also saw us hearing from Ayrshire Business Women of the Year winner Laura Rennie. A spotlight in to what she does and how she got to where she is today.
Thank you all who attended and to our committee members for giving up their spots to accommodate this sell out event! It was so popular, another will be on the cards soon!
Our member Ayrshire magazine also held their first fashion show event at The Park Hotel. What an amazing afternoon, showcasing local businesses (that’s what it’s all about right?), which was joined by a number of ABW members. It’s great when you get to mix business with pleasure and with such a great bunch of ladies!
March’s member spotlight:
Leanne Cairns of Fascinators by Leanne, now Leanne Cairns MIllinery, has launched her new look website…and it is incredible. This lady is working hard and going places.
Diane Campbell of Sportsability is hosting this incredible event in April. Be sure to support in any way you can
Have you booked for our April event? On 16th April, we will be at The Carlton Hotel, Prestwick hearing from the amazing Thea Newcombe talking all things social media. Something I think you’ll all get such incredible value from. Remember your business cards and to get our best networking head on.
