We encourage all of our Members to apply for an Award and fill in the Application Forms on the dates they are valid.

The Winner of the 'Ayrshire Business Woman of the Year' Award is announced at the Annual General Meeting every year in February.

The Ayrshire Business Woman of the Year Award is assessed on the following:

  • Contribution to the success of a business and/or an organisation based in Ayrshire
  • Support and motivation to others in your field
  • Recognition from peers and/or professional colleagues
  • Success within the local community
  • Being an ambassador of ABW, and the wider Business Women community in Scotland
  • Success within the local community

The Winner of the 'Spirit of ABW' Award is announced at the Annual General Meeting every year in February.

The 'Spirit of ABW' Award is assessed on the following:
  • Contribution to the success of Ayrshire Business Women
  • Length of Ongoing Membership held with ABW
  • Ongoing attendance at all ABW Events and active engagement with the group in all forms, ie. Online and in-person
  • Proven performance acting as an Ambassador for ABW, and promoting ABW to the wider Business Women community in Scotland
  • Support given to Committee Members of ABW and/or to your fellow ABW Member Colleagues in the group

Every year, ABW invites our Members to apply for the 'Most Enterprising Business of the Year' Award.

The winner of the Annual ABW 'Most Enterprising Business Award' is automatically nominated as our Finalist for the ASB’s annual award in the same category.

Applications for this award will be re-launched in 2022.

One independent judge, along with 3 committee members will be responsible for selecting the winner.

All applicants must be current members of the ABW, a woman in business and not a previous winner.

Members of the ABW automatically qualify for free-of-charge entry into the Annual Association of Scottish Businesswomen awards.

The winner of the ABW 'Most Enterprising Business' Award is automatically registered as our Finalist for ASB's annual award in the same category.
