Carly Diamond is the founder and director of Gem of Knowledge Ltd, a tutoring and creative education business launched in Ayrshire in January 2025. In under a year, she has grown the business to support 65 enrolled children across tutoring, art, and STEM classes, earning recognition with two Ayrshire Business Women Awards 2025— Best Customer Service Initiative and Best Business Project.
A former primary teacher and single parent, Carly left a secure teaching role to build a more sustainable, child-focused approach to learning. Her business is built on compassion, accessibility, and innovation, with every session designed to nurture confidence, creativity, and academic success.
Through her “Give as You Grow” pledge, Carly also donates 50p per child per session to the Martin Chambers Ecuador Trust, ensuring her local impact in Ayrshire supports global education too. Judges have praised her as “hugely impressive and enterprising” with a “fantastic business transforming the lives of customers.”
