About ABW

Our History:

Ayrshire Business Women was founded in 1994 by 3 forward looking women who wanted to establish a business network to support women in business and the professions, at a time when gender bias was still prohibitive to success.

30 years later, the organisation is still going strong and continues to be run by a committee of dedicated volunteers.

Ayrshire Business Women is also an affiliate member organisation of the Association of Scottish Business Women.

Our Mission:

To empower women in business and professional roles through a supportive network fostering growth, collaboration, and success. We champion gender equality in business, and exchange ideas, experiences, and opportunities among our members. We actively endorse professional development, nurturing a community built on integrity and trust.

Our Vision:

To be the leading business organisation for our members, recognised for our commitment to fostering integrity, professionalism, and trust. We aspire to create a vibrant association where our members are empowered by knowledge, connections, and opportunities. We are dedicated to excellence, inclusivity, and advocacy. We aim to drive positive change, inspire leadership, and champion the success of our members in Ayrshire and beyond.
