April has been and gone in a flash, yet so much has been happening within our amazing group. First, we had our monthly event that featured a top speaker on a hugely relevant subject, Social Media. The amazing Thea Newcombe gave up her evening to impart her wisdom on the numerous platforms we use to promote ourselves and our businesses. There wasn’t one person in the room that didn’t take away some gems and tools to implement for themselves. Thank you Thea!
A group of ABW members were delighted to able to participate in the Associations conference in Glasgow on 30th April. Monica Coyle, ABW’s president gave the following feedback:
“Well what can I say yesterday was amazing. As president of Ayrshire Business Women I would like to thank Lyndsey Greer and the amazing ASB committee for pulling together a fantastic conference for us all. I know how much work is involved. Ladies you are an inspiration and such a hard working committee well done everyone involved and thank you so much for giving up your time.”
It seems there is no stopping our members and the incredible work they are doing and goals they are achieving. Sheila Kerr has just won Independent Jeweller of the Year at the Scottish Independent Retail Awards. This has been Sheila’s biggest accolade to date, and we are so delighted for her. Geraldo’s owner, Toni Dawson, and her team have just been awarded a five star rating for their Ayrshire shop. This is the first of its kind and a huge testament to the hard work that has been put in to this fantastic company.
The amazing Janet Martin (also known to many as Nippy Nora!) has a range of tours that would be great to check out, especially with the summer holidays not too far away! Check out her website below:
May is set to be another incredible month with our event looking at extra support for your business with a speaker who is motivational in his field and bound to give our members a boost as we reach the almost half way mark of 2019.
